Default iPhone App For This Forum

Over 9% of you guys are accessing this forum on a mobile device. 4% are using the iPhone, and 1.3% are using an iPod Touch, and a few of you are even using iPads.

While you could get at this site using Safari (and it's probably the best option on a iPad), it's easier if you use an app for the small screens of the iPhone and iPod Touch...

I've installed support for ForumRunner. You can click here to download it now, or get it from the App Store on your iPhone or iPod Touch. There's a free version and a $1.99 version. You can only post using the paid version.

Here are a few screenshots of what it looks like...

I'm not saying it's a perfect solution, but for the 5.3% of you who are using iPhones and iPod Touches, it is a better option...

If you try it out, post here to say what you think of it.

Is it possible to make an app for Android phones? I've been hooked on Android for a year now, it is much better than the iPhone and is rapidly getting more popular too!

Eric: I use my web browser on my Android phone (Motorola Cliq) and it works great.

    Hi.

I have an Android too, and indeed, the forum looks nice on the browser, even if it is not optimized.
However I found an app on the Market that promised to work, and it indeed logged in, but I cannot see the forum, however, it might be different on your phone (I have a Motorola Droid from Verizon). The app is called BBfoc (no, I am not kidding) and supposedly optimizes access to this kind of forums.

Maybe it will work well for you. If not, hopefully there will be new versions or alternatives soon.

I use the browser on my HTC Desire too, but an app is just easier to use. Will try the BBfoc app (indeed a nice name for an app) and see if it works for me too!

    Hello, Ericnl.

I checked the Android Market again and I found a ForumRunner version for Android, the free version will log in but won't post. Now I cannot but the app, but I will get back to you as soon as I get the full version, so you can post nasty stuff wherever you are

I have a new version of Forum Runner that will work on Android. I'll try to install it tomorrow. The current version may also work, i'm not sure - you just don't get the alert when you come to the site that it's available... Again, tomorrow things should be different.

Forum Runner is found at ForumRunner.net you should be able to search for it in whatever Android app store there is...

Forumrunner on my iphone has suddenly started saying that ever reply i try to make needs to be at least 10 characters. They're always far more. Not sure if this is a problem at this end, my end, or with forum runner. Any idea?

Sorry, I edited by mistake Elof's comment, I edited it on the Droid instead of replying to it.

@rawTOP Any chance of you converting your video blog to a different format so that the videos are viewable on iPad?

Forum runner on iPad and iPhone is the greatest thing for an addicted bb'er like me. Many thanks for it.
